Taking a break....sort of!

After my last post I was feeling a little overwhelmed by the whole weight loss/tone up journey, me and my husband and the boys went to Lego Land and with eating out and a couple of bad eating choices I gained a little weight which really put me down so I decided to stop weighing myself for a short period and stop with the pictures and measurements.

So far I am finding so hard to not to weigh myself, I keep meaning to move the scales but as yet they are still in the bathroom which is not good news.  I think I will weigh in on Saturday as a fresh start then remove the scales and put them in the loft..I will post Sunday and update you with the "moving" news.

However I thought I would keep the blog going with regards to other aspects of my life..which will largely revolve around food, my little family and running :)

I am currently training for Wolverhampton Half Marathon and after a brief pause with our Lego Land trip, I'm back on the training plan.  Today I completed a 40 minute run and I managed to do 7k in that time which I'm chuffed with as all my last couple of 40 minute runs have taken me 40 mins and around 30 seconds so I have been dying to beat it.

Food hasn't been the best today but in terms of not enough, have been so busy I only managed breakfast, couple pieces of fruit and then dinner.  Missing lunch isn't a good idea for me as I tend them to over eat on a night however today I have remained good.  Dinner today was homemade pizza, a recipe of the good food website and it's amazing!!!  It's so easy and delicious I will never buy takeaway or frozen pizza again and its a firm healthy favourite with the whole family :)

Tonight I've made some falafel for lunch tomorrow and Cody my 4 year old tried them and he liked them although they were slightly spicy.    Tomorrow is shopping day and I cant wait to get some food in as the cupboards are bare and I love making up some recipes over the weekend for the weeks snacks/lunches.  I'm going to make some sugar free American blueberry pancakes and some spicy chick peas from a recipe I also found on the Good Food website.  That website is my best friend.  Will include some links and pics of the outcomes on Sunday.

'til then...
